World Bird Wednesday XXXIII

These pictures was taken in Balestrand, Sognefjorden,
Norway five days ago.

    The more I watch your blog, the more I like it.

    The scientific name of this beauty is Haematopus ostralegus. We call it "Ostrero euroasíatico" in Spanish language. In English, I think it is called "Eurasian Oystercatcher".

    Well, your australian friend will know its English name better than me.

  11. Jättefina bilder, speciellt gillar jag den andra där den ligger i vassen/gräset, med så härliga färger. Jag tycker det ser ut som en strandskata, Tjeld heter det visst på norska. Jag har aldrig sett den i verkligheten, men på bild :) Ha en bra dag!
